Ive been into denim for about three years now, but have been a huge fan of jeans my whole life. i was always fascinated by the different washes (colors), fits and textures, and used to stock my closet full of a pair of each! When i was turned on to raw indigo dungarees i was captured by the make it your own, authentic aesthetic of it all. whether you decide to wear them dry, crisp and rigid. Or to give em an “initial soak” to keep them strong and fading for years. or even buy them “pre washed” still raw, but alot softer for a more subtle vintage fade. ive done all three….. alot! here is a compilation of the pairs ive tried over the years. This is a reflection, but also a send off. im hanging up my “hobby” as ive experimented with everything that interests me. ive made money, lost money. basically broken even. no more presoak, post soak, hot wash, cold soak nonsense. Im gunna wear one pair all year,starting 01/01/11. it was a fun run and time to do what i originally set out to, wear my jawns! also i may go buy some pants.
